What’s in a Name?:

A number of people have asked me what Shen Jing Holistic means, so
here is the explanation.  

Shen Jing comes from Chinese, meaning heart and spirit.

Holistic is defined by Webster's dictionary as "emphasizing the organic or functional relations between parts and wholes."  My interpretation of this definition is that we have to look at the whole body when dealing with specific problems to determine the cause, not just work on the symptom.

Those are the literal meanings of what Shen Jing Holistic means, but I would like to share some deeper insight as to what it means to me. 

My spiritual life is very important to me, and two things that come up over and over again are the health of the heart and spirit as they relate to faith.

The colors that you see in my logo have significance, as related to my spirituality.

Green is associated with the heart and is a sign of growth, healing and prosperity.
Orange represents the "fire of the Spirit" within, and blue is cleansing water that refreshes us or heaven.
